Improve Your English at Work with the SEE Program

Jonah SEE student

Imagine how much better work can be when you can talk freely with your boss, your supervisor and your colleagues.

The Skills for Education and Employment (SEE) Program offers free English classes for adults in Australia. Funded by the Australian Government, it helps eligible participants build the reading, writing, speaking and listening skills they need at work — along with basic maths and computer skills. There is no cost to join.

The SEE Program is funded by the Australian Government Department of Workplace Relations and delivered by Max Solutions RTO 0667.

Jonah is a SEE Program participant. Originally from Papua New Guinea, he knew that improving his English would help him thrive at work. Better communication meant he could understand instructions, ask questions and share his ideas with the people around him.

Why English Skills Matter at Work

Strong communication changes your day-to-day experience on the job. When you can express yourself clearly, you can:

  • Understand instructions from your supervisor the first time

  • Ask questions when something is not clear

  • Explain a problem before it becomes bigger

  • Talk with colleagues and feel part of the team

  • Raise a safety concern straight away

  • Speak up in meetings and share your ideas

  • Ask about training, more hours or a promotion

Practical skills for you need for work places

At Max Solutions RTO, our trainers help you with:

  • Speaking with your boss and supervisor

  • Talking with customers

  • Understanding workplace safety information

  • Reading rosters, emails and instructions

  • Filling in workplace forms

  • Making phone calls at work

You learn at your own level, and you practise the things that matter in your job.
