Zewdi's Journey from Quiet to Confident

Zewdi completed the Skills for Education and Employment program

A year ago, Zewdi barely spoke when she attended her Skills for Education and Employment (SEE) Program classes.

Not because she had nothing to say, but because English was new, the classroom was new, and everything from using a computer to reading a sentence aloud felt unfamiliar.

Fast forward twelve months, and Zewdi is the heart and soul of the room. Her sense of humour has everyone laughing. She’s shared stories and food from her home country of Eritrea, teaching her classmates and trainers as much as they’ve taught her.

Along the way, she’s discovered a genuine love of reading. She’s now got an expanded English vocabulary and is more confident using digital tools like a computer and phone.

Here she is, proudly showing off her certificate from completing the 22636VIC Course in Initial EAL.

Congratulations, Zewdi. We can’t wait to see what you do next.

The SEE Program is funded by the Australian Government Department of Workplace Relations and delivered by Max Solutions RTO 0667.
