Participation – Work Readiness program in WA
Part of Jobs and Skills WA, this program aims to assist unemployed people who are job ready to gain the relevant skills and experiences to access meaningful work via funded, fee free training.
Participation - Work Readiness: Eligibility for program
To be eligible for the program, students must be unemployed and able to access mainstream training.
Students must:
1) have a written referral from an Approved Participation Referral Agent for Job Seekers; or
2) be referred by themselves; another agency or recruited by the Service Provider and have a “health care card” or “pension card”.

CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing and Disability)
CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing and Disability) is a nationally recognised training qualification. This course is designed to provide students with the skills and knowledge to gain employment as a personal support worker in a residential aged care setting or in a client’s home or facility.

To be eligible for free training, reduced-fee qualifications, or a subsidised training place; you must have left school*, have your primary place of residence in Western Australia, and are either:
an Australian citizen; or
a permanent visa holder or holder of visa subclass 309, 444, 449, 785, 786, 790, or 820; or
a dependent or spouse of the primary holder of a visa subclass 457 or 482**; or
a bridging visa holder who has made a valid application for a visa subclass 866; or
a bridging visa E holder (subclasses 050 and 051) who has made a valid application for a visa subclass 785 or 790.
Indigenous people, young people, people out of work or receiving income support, unpaid carers, people with disability, and women facing economic insecurity are particularly encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity.
