Course Overview

A white card (or general construction induction card) is required for workers who want to carry out construction work. People who need a white card include:

  • Site managers, supervisors, surveyors, labourers and tradespeople,

  • People who access operational construction zones (unaccompanied or not directly supervised by an inducted person),

  • Workers whose employment causes them to routinely enter operational construction zones.

About this course

  • The minimum age requirement to do the White Card course is 14 years old. All students are required to arrive 30 min before the course start time for registration and ID check. Students must bring evidence of identity for 100 points. Some documents you can use to provide this can include:

    Primary (Only one document can be used):

    • Australian birth certificate 70 Points

    • Passport – Australian or International (Current or expired within last 2 years, but not cancelled) 70 Points

    • Australian citizenship certificate 70 points

    Secondary (Multiple documents can be used):

    • Australian drivers licence 40 Points

    • Medicare card 25 points

    • ATM card 25 points

    • Utilities bill 25 points

    • Current vehicle registration or insurance papers 25 points

  • There are three components to this program:

    1. Theory training in the classroom

    2. Practical training in the classroom

    3. Assessment for both knowledge and skills

    This course is licenced through SafeWork NSW and we must deliver the program as per their requirements which include:

    • All students must have 100 points of ID on the day of training,

    • Training must be conducted over a minimum period of 6hrs not including breaks,

    • A Statement of Training (SOT) must be issued to students if they satisfactorily complete all assessments, demonstrating competency in the program on the same day.

    Once a competent mark is awarded, learners will be issued with a Statement of Attainment for CPCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry, Unit of Competency is Nationally Recognised Training from Construction, Plumbing and Services Training Package.

  • $120 per person Students must bring 100 points of ID to commence the course. Cancellation fees may apply.

    Certificates are emailed to students however hard copy is available for additional fee.
