What is Smart and Skilled Entitlement Full Qualifications
Training courses are now available for school leavers, young people and job seekers, as part of the NSW Government’s Smart and Skilled Entitlement Full Qualifications initiative.
Eligibility criteria
Eligibility criteria for all Smart and Skilled Programs (except Smart and Skilled Entitlement Apprenticeships and Traineeships Program)
A person who is eligible to receive subsidised training in all Smart and Skilled Programs (except Smart and Skilled Entitlement Apprenticeships and Traineeships Program) is a person who, at the time of enrolment in a qualification or course on the NSW Skills List or a “short course” with a Smart and Skilled provider:
lives or works in NSW (determined by postcode of the usual place of residence or place of work); or
an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander student who does not live or work in NSW but lives in specific defined interstate NSW border areas (see Appendix 2: Defined interstate NSW border areas) is eligible for government-subsidised training under Smart and Skilled; and
is:
an Australian citizen; or
a permanent Australian resident; or
a New Zealand citizen; or
a humanitarian visa holder or a partner visa holder whose sponsor is a humanitarian visa holder (see Appendix 1: Refugees and asylum seekers for more information); and
is aged 15 years or older; and
is no longer in secondary education - except for registered home school students (See relevant sections below for further information).

CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing and Disability)
CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing and Disability) is a nationally recognised training qualification. This course is designed to provide students with the skills and knowledge to gain employment as a personal support worker in a residential aged care setting or in a client’s home or facility.

CHC32015 Certificate III in Community Services
The CHC32015 Certificate III in Community Services is a nationally recognised training qualification designed to provide students with the skills, knowledge and information to help develop a successful careers in the Social Services Sector.

BSB30120 Certificate III in Business
The BSB30120 Certificate III in Business is a nationally recognised training course designed to provide you with the skills, knowledge and information to help you develop a successful career in business.

SIT20322 Certificate II in Hospitality
SIT20322 Certificate II in Hospitality reflects the role of individuals who have a defined and limited range of hospitality operational skills and basic industry knowledge. They are involved in mainly routine and repetitive tasks and work under direct supervision.
