Workplace-based Training Project kicks off with JBS in Toowoomba

We’ve kicked off the Skills for Education and Employment (SEE) Program Workplace-based Training Project with JBS Australia in Toowoomba. This 12-week project supports JBS employees with structured Language, Literacy, Numeracy and Digital (LLND) skills development. Training is delivered through a mix of face-to-face classes, remote learning (self-study) and workplace-focused activities tailored to the JBS context.

What the 12-week training covers

The training is tailored to real workplace needs at JBS Australia, with a focus on building practical, confidence-boosting skills participants can use on the job and beyond. Key learning areas include:

  • Financial literacy

  • Digital skills

  • Communication

  • Numeracy

Delivery mode and weekly time commitment

Across the 12 weeks, participants attend 5 hours of face-to-face classes each week. They also complete an additional 5 hours of independent or blended activities, designed to reinforce learning through workplace-focused practice and self-study.

Continuing a strong partnership with JBS Australia

This project continues Max Solutions RTO’s partnership with JBS Australia. In 2025, we delivered a Workplace-based Training Project to JBS workers in Launceston, Longford and surrounding areas of Tasmania. Since completing that first project, JBS Australia reported increased confidence among employees, improvements in work quality, and growing interest from staff looking to further upskill. The skills gained help employees keep up with workplace demands, adapt to new technologies and support everyday life too.
